FEDERAL TAX FILING

For Expats in Germany

We offer federal tax filing services for US expats in Germany, including the following:

1040 Filing

The standard tax return document for most taxpayers. Our base fee includes filing:

  • Form 1116 - Foreign Tax Credit

  • Form 2555 - Foreign Earned Income Exclusion

  • Annual FBAR filing

  • Schedule D - Capital Gains & Losses

Form 8938

FATCA reporting has been a topic for expatriate Americans since its inception. Depending on the size of foreign accounts, certain taxpayers have additional form requirements to file each year.

Schedule E

Do you own or rent out property in the US, Germany, or elsewhere? Schedule E is the key form for filing the annual profit / loss declaration, including any depreciation.

Form 5471

Foreign corporations require their own annual reporting via the Foreign Corporation Return - primarily to provide an annual report on profitability and an overview of assets held.

Form 2848

If you prefer that we contact the IRS on your behalf, we can execute a Power of Attorney to access your tax records online and speak to agents via the International Taxpayer line.

Form 14653

Sometimes the simplest way to return to compliance is filing a few years' past returns and explaining the oversight. The Streamlined Foreign Offshore Procedure is one of the most efficient ways to return to compliance if a taxpayer is multiple years late on tax filings.
